Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

The fresh snow made Freiburg look pretty festive today. My German teacher tonight gave us an informative handout on Advent in Germany. She included a recipe for Vanillekipferl and told us hilarious St. Nikolaus Day stories from her childhood in Bavaria.

Like a good Thomsen, Lee chooses to breakfast as close to the heater as possible.

This is one of my favorite posts you've made so far! Informative handout! Bavaria! Hilarious and adorable picture! And so true about the Thomsens. Last night I tried to manage everything without leaving the area right in front of the fire :)

Good work, Lee and Kath. I worked from home today and had my space heater on by my feet the whole day. It was delightful.

Today the temperature is 6 degrees with a windchill of minus 7. It’s not a good sign when I’m sick of winter on December 7th! You are right, Abby. Freiburg looks like a beautiful winter postcard. 🎄
