Arizonan Reinforcements

Thom has faced a lot of challenges this year. He has struggled socially and continues to face the reality of being at an academic disadvantage when the language of instruction is foreign.

Despite countless rants and fits, he persists. He tries really hard to succeed in school. The thought of not doing well fills him with dread and stress.

Thankfully, something has really helped deal with his anxiety in French class.

My dearest Ian.

Before the last two French tests, Ian and Thom spoke over the computer and went over the study sheet together.

When the call is over, Thom tells me how nice Ian is and how great he is at French. He goes to bed happy.

Previously, on nights before French tests, he’d be crying and screaming how he hates French and is going to fail.

So, shout-out to Ian. Thanks for saving the day yet again.
